Here at Firth Gin we understand how important our environment is and how crucial a job we all have to be as eco-friendly as possible. We are always striving to find new ways to help limit the impact we have on our environment. So far, we are proud to have strengthened our eco-friendly status by implementing the following practices
– Our bottles are made from at least 40% recycled glass and are 100% recyclable
– Our labels are printed on paper
– Our locally foraged botanicals are 100% organic
– Local deliveries are made on foot or by pedal bike where possible
– We package our bottles in cardboard boxes that are made of recycled cardboard and are fully recyclable – but please reuse them first if you can. The protective fill we use is also made from recycled paper and can be recycled. This is also the case of the tape we use to seal our boxes
– A percentage of profits are donated to Ocean Generation (Formerly Plastic Oceans) – a charity which helps support our oceans and seas – www.oceangeneration.org
– Cork in our bottle tops are from sustainable cork forests and the tops are wood – not plastic
– We work alongside ‘Plastic Free Dalgety Bay’ to continually look for improvements
We are persistently seeking ways in which we can become even more eco-friendly and would love to hear if you have any suggestions.
